How To Verify Your WestStein Card

How to verify your non-bank card

We believe you deserve the best and you should get the best without confusion.

In this article, we’ll show you how to verify your WestStein account step by step.

Once your account is verified, you’ll finally be eligible for extended card limits and the option to order up to 3 additional cards for yourself or anyone else you wish.

 

You need 2 documents (1 to prove your identity and 1 to prove your residence address)

Although we don’t check your credit history and proof of income, we must comply with EU directive 2015/849 which aims to prevent the use of the European Union’s financial system for the purposes of money laundering and terrorist financing.

To do so, you only need to prove your identity and residence address you specified during card ordering. Please, find below the guide of how you can upload documents and get your account verified.

To prove your identity, you need ONE OF the documents listed below:

  • Color scanned or photographed PASSPORT.
  • Color scanned or photographed ID CARD (Both sides).
  • Color scanned or photographed DRIVING LICENCE (Both sides).

To prove your residence address, you need ONE OF the documents listed below:

  • Copy of UTILITY BILL (for example, phone, electricity, water or TV cable bill).
  • Copy of DECLARATION OF RESIDENCE PLACE
  • Copy of BANK STATEMENT.

Important – make sure you follow all the requirements listed below:

VALID DOCUMENT:

  • Color scanned or photographed identification document from both sides (for passport only 1 side). You can use your smartphone to take the photos.
  • Identification document contains your name and last name.
  • Utility bill / Bank statement / Declaration of residence place is no older than 90 days (3 months).
  • Utility bill / Bank statement / Declaration of residence place contains the same address as noted in your WestStein profile.
  • Both documents are of high quality with all 4 corners clearly visible.
  • Both documents are in one of the following formats – .pdf, .png or jpg.

INVALID DOCUMENT:

  • Expired identification document.
  • Any of the documents at a low quality or without clearly visible corners.
  • Job contracts, court statements and others unlisted documents.
  • Screenshots of electronic documents to prove your residence address.

How to verify account from your COMPUTER

 

1. Go to WestStein homepage and click “Log in”

2. Write in your WestStein card number and password

When entering your card number, write it WITH NO SPACES between numbers.

Your card number is shown on the front side of your card.

When you’ve entered your card number and password, click “Log in” orange button.

3. Click “Verify my card” button after logging in

Once you’ve logged in, a pop up will appear. Click “Verify my card” to continue.

5. Upload 1 document to prove your identity

You will now see 3 buttons on the top – “Passport”, “Personal ID”, “Driver’s license”.

  • If you choose “Passport”, 1 button will appear below:
    • “Choose a file (Copy or image of passport)” – Click to upload copy or image of your passport.
  • If you choose “Personal ID”, 2 buttons will appear below:
    • “Choose a file (Copy or image of personal ID front side)” – Click to upload a copy or image of the front side of your personal ID card.
    • “Choose a file (Copy or image of personal ID back side)” – Click to upload a copy or image of the back side of your personal ID card.
  • If you choose “Driver’s licence”, 2 buttons will appear below:
    • “Choose a file (Copy or image of driver’s license front side)” – Click to upload a copy or image of the front side of your driver’s licence.
    • “Choose a file (Copy or image of driver’s license back side)” – Click to upload a copy or image of the back side of your driver’s licence.

6. Upload 1 document to prove your address

Click on “Choose a file (utility bill or bank statement)” button to upload next document that proves your residence address.

7. Click “Upload and verify”

Click “Upload and verify” to complete the process.

8. A success message will appear after you uploaded your documents

Congratulations! Your uploaded documents will be reviewed in the next 48 hours (within working days) and our team will contact you via email.

How to verify account from your SMARTPHONE

1. Open WestStein mobile application

If you still don’t have our app, install it for free now:

2. Write in your WestStein card number and password

3. Tap on the “Profile” tab at the bottom

4. Tap on “Verify my identity”

5. Tap “ID card or password” to take a photo of document that proves your identity

The application will open up your smartphone camera.

6. When your camera opens up, take a photo of your document

Make sure that all 4 corners are visible and that the image is sharp and clear.

7. Click “Upload” to upload the photo you just took

8. Tap “Close” after the photo has been uploaded

Important! If you use your ID card or driver’s license, you must take a photo of both sides of the document (front side and back side).

9. After uploading your identity documents, click “Cancel” to go back

10. Tap “Utility bill” to take a photo of document that proves your residence address

11. When your camera opens up, take a photo of your document

12. Click “Upload” to upload the photo you just took

13. Tap “Close” after the photo has been uploaded
